Kansas Library Card 
The State of Kansas provides access to many databases. Any Kansas resident may obtain a free
Kansas Library Card to gain access to all databases from any computer with an Internet connection. These databases include newspaper, journal, and magazine articles --many with full text.


Kansas Library Card Databases
These databases can be used in the library, or use the Kansas Library Card.
  • Firstsearch:(currently requires password) Offers several databases with journal, magazine, and conference articles (& the location of books) on art, humanities, biography, business, economics, consumer affairs, education, technology, biology, medicine, and general science. Many items in full text.
  • Heritage Quest:Genealogy databases with census data, historical records, and family histories.
  • ProQuest: Databases cover articles on news, nursing, business, and economics. Has peer-reviewed and full text filters.
  • SIRS Discoverer: A resource for grade schoolers to find news articles, reference articles, and web sites on various academic topics.
  • World Book Online: Reference center and encyclopedia.
